What this site, your account, and Scout are

THE AI GROWTH LAB LTD (company number 17413033) provides the public website for The AI Growth Lab and TAIGL — information, a journal, a waitlist, and earlier paid guides and services — plus the TAIGL account and the Scout service that account gives you access to. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

  • TAIGL account — the shared identity you use across TAIGL apps, including Scout. You create it by signing in with Supabase Auth — with Google as an external identity provider where you choose “Continue with Google”, or a six-digit email code delivered via Resend where configured (beta email-link fallback where available). It holds your account identifier, sign-in state, and the product data held against it. The service is for users aged 18+.
  • Scout (Lite) — a bounded professional/business opportunity-analysis assistant. You provide a text, public URL, or screenshot/image, choose a lens (Person, Company or Conversation), and we process that single transient source to produce an Opportunity Brief: executive summary, opportunity score + score basis, key signals, risks, recommended actions, AI confidence, and provenance (with observed/inferred tiers and source excerpts). Your submitted source is a transient encrypted source — it is encrypted at rest and purged after the analysis (failed/incomplete sources are hard-purged within 24 hours) — see the Privacy Notice for the exact handling. That transient source is distinct from the server-side Scout job/result/provenance/flag records created for the analysis, which are erased via Erase my Scout Lite data in the app. If you choose Save, a separate device-saved brief is stored on this device (“Saved briefs remain on this device”) and is removed via Delete saved briefs on this device — it is not stored in your account and is not deleted by the server-side erasure. Neither erasure by itself deletes the shared TAIGL account — see /account/deletion.

These Terms cover all three together. The Privacy Notice covers how personal data is handled across them. Where the app shows a short in-app summary, this website remains the canonical version. By continuing to use the service you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. Analytics consent remains separately obtained where required.

Who may use Scout

Scout is provided for professional and business relationship analysis for users aged 18+. You must not use Scout where the intended use involves high-stakes or legally consequential decisions about another person, and you must not use it to intentionally profile children or vulnerable persons.

Information about other people — your responsibilities

If you submit information relating to another person to Scout, you must have the lawful and legitimate basis, right, permission or other authority required in the circumstances to obtain, use and provide that information to the service. Where consent or permission is legally required, you are responsible for obtaining it before submission. You must not submit material where doing so would unlawfully breach another person’s privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property rights, contractual duties or applicable law. You must not intentionally submit or ask Scout to infer special-category personal data (such as race, ethnicity, political opinions, religion or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic, biometric, health, sex life or sexual orientation) or criminal-offence data. Scout is designed for publicly shared professional/business material you choose to supply; you remain responsible for the source material you submit and for how you use Scout’s output. Your authority as a user is a contractual safeguard — it does not transfer TAIGL’s own controller duties to you.

Before you analyse: By analysing this information, you confirm that you are entitled to provide it and will use Scout’s result lawfully. If the information is about another person, continue only where you have a legitimate reason and appropriate authority to analyse it.

Prohibited uses

Scout must not be used to:

  • make or materially support decisions about employment, recruitment, credit, insurance, housing, education or admissions, eligibility, benefits or other legal or similarly significant decisions about another person;
  • conduct criminal-background screening or maintain criminal-offence profiles;
  • stalk, harass, threaten, surveil or unlawfully discriminate against another person;
  • intentionally infer or analyse race, ethnicity, political opinions, religion, philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic data, biometric identification, health, sex life or sexual orientation;
  • intentionally analyse criminal convictions, alleged offences or related security measures;
  • intentionally analyse material relating to children or vulnerable persons;
  • build bulk or persistent dossiers about third parties through automated collection, scraping or enrichment.

TAIGL may refuse, suspend or terminate access where these controls are breached. We may rate-limit, moderate flags, or suspend access to protect the service and other people.

No professional advice

Scout outputs are research assistance, not legal, financial, employment, or other professional advice. Opportunity Briefs mark claims as observed only where verifiably present in the source; otherwise they are inferred with a confidence level. Verify before acting. Scout does not verify facts, guarantee accuracy, or provide eligibility or background-check decisions.

Your rights and submitted material — limited licence

Your rights and submitted material. You retain any rights you already hold in material you submit. Using Scout does not give you ownership or other rights in material belonging to someone else. You grant TAIGL a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, secure, process and temporarily reproduce material you are entitled to provide only as necessary to operate Scout, perform the analysis you requested, return the result, maintain security and integrity, and comply with law. This permission ends when the relevant material is deleted, except to the limited extent continued retention is lawfully required. We do not take a broad perpetual, irrevocable, transferable or marketing licence over your Scout source material. Saved briefs and your other product data are otherwise handled per the Privacy Notice, and Scout’s transient-source model (encrypted, purged) does not require us to retain your source indefinitely.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the website and Scout available but don't promise uninterrupted availability. Features, limits, and copy may change as we improve the service. If we make a material change that affects your rights, we'll update these Terms and the “LAST REVIEWED” date before the change takes effect.

Paid “Earlier work”

Legacy digital products (for example the Starter Kit) are sold as-is with instant access; the refund terms at each checkout govern. Consultancy and audit services quote their own terms in writing. Scout pricing, if and when offered beyond the current waitlist, will be presented at the point of offer — no pricing is promised here.

Fair use and abuse prevention

Don't scrape, misuse platform integrations, bypass controls, or misrepresent our proof labels. Don't build bulk dossiers or systematically collect third-party profiles with Scout. We may prevent abusive use and we keep proportionate audit evidence for security and fraud prevention — see the Privacy Notice for retention handling.

Account deletion and data erasure

Your TAIGL account is shared across TAIGL apps, so we verify ownership before deleting it. Request deletion at /account/deletion (or in-app where available). Submitting that form creates a pending deletion request requiring identity verification — it does not instantly delete anything. We action verified requests without undue delay and within the timeframe the law requires, subject to the limited retention exceptions described in the Privacy Notice and on the deletion page itself. See the Privacy Notice for the separate server-side Scout erasure (Erase my Scout Lite data) and device-saved brief deletion (Delete saved briefs on this device) — neither is the same as deleting your TAIGL account.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Beyond that, liability is limited to the extent the law allows. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdiction protections that cannot lawfully be displaced.
